Chris McLaren founded SaltWay in 2006, which matured into a truly global sales and distribution business for select-quality, illustrated publishers when Murray Mahon joined the company in 2011. Chris's previous career includes senior positions as Managing Director (Tempus Publishing), Sales Director (Faber & Faber and MacMillan Publishers) and Sales and Marketing Director (Chambers-Harrap). Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.


Murray Mahon is a founding director of SaltWay Global Ltd, having had many years experience in international book production, sales and distribution, beginning his career as Sales & Marketing Manager at Times Books/Angus & Robertson followed by senior posts at Aurum Press, Berlitz/Letts Publishing, gift company Hunkydory Designs and Atlantic Publishing. Murray has a Joint Honours degree in English and European Literature from Warwick University.


Roy Johnson is the founding Director of Kid Gloves, a highly respected agency specifically set up to work with small independent children's publishers providing direction in all editorial and illustration development as well as commercial guidance including marketing, publicity, sales & distribution in conjunction with SaltWay. Roy has a long career with respected publishers including Ragged Bears, where he was Marketing Director, Orchard Books, OUP, Thames & Hudson, Laurence King and Frances Lincoln. 


Rob Wendover is the founding Director of Prologue Sales, an export and international rights and co-editions sales services for book publishers worldwide in partnership with SaltWay. Rob’s career has spanned sales positions in Australia, Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Asia and most recently Head of Export Sales for Lion Hudson PLC.
